Oh, The Joys of Summer

The other day I talked about water and children being one of the joys of summer.

Right now I'm enjoying (beautiful word "enjoy"--in joy) another of those benefits of summer.

I cut up fresh fruit this morning and put it in a large bowl in the refrigerator for lunch. Apples, red grapes, bananas, blackberries, mandarin orange slices, and pineapple. I just took a break from my manuscript, and I'm sitting here eating the fruits of all that labor.

In joy.

My family loves fresh fruit salad. I only had cantaloupe and blueberries for tonight - still delicious.

Sharon: Blueberries are among my favorite fruits. When I went shopping the other night, I substituted blackberries because the blueberries were so darn expensive.
