Publishers Weekly (PW) reported on Wednesday that Torstar is restructuring Harlequin's workforce. They are expected to eliminate about forty jobs or 4% of their worldwide workforce. Torstar did not describe where the cuts will be taken.
Torstar expects the restructuring will save $3,000,000 (Can).
PW also reported that "For the first half of 2006, operating profit was down 47% on a 6% decline in sales."
