The Bookseller.com reported today that e-book retailer Fictionwise has purchased Motricity's eReader.com.
"eReader.com is one of the crown jewels of the e-book world," said Steve Pendergrast, co-founder of Fictionwise. "With this acquisition, Fictionwise breaks into the very top ranks of the eBook retail market."
Fictionwise, an independent seller of e-books can be found here.
The Bookseller.com story reports that eReader.com offers more than 23,000 titles on its website here. The e-books can be read on a variety of handheld devices.
