I've told you I live in a forest with hills and wild critters, but here's a concrete fact to illustrate what I mean.
There are a lot of oak trees on my property. Several are more than sixty feet high. They drop such a thick carpet of leaves that it's impossible to mulch them with a mower, so every year, I rake. It usually takes me three weekends working almost full time to finish the task.
This year, with a cast on my hand, raking was out of the question. So I hired a crew to rake (and mulch where they could). I purchased a big box of extra large leaf bags for them to use.
When they ran out of leaf bags at #48, they started mulching. They're not finished yet.
